Electronic Invoice System
Your first step towards digital transformation and full tax compliance in Egypt.
What is an Electronic Invoice?
The Electronic Invoice is a legal digital document that replaces traditional paper invoices. It proves sales transactions of goods and services, featuring secure components to ensure data validity and prevent tampering.
- Unique ID (UUID): Each invoice has a unique number for tracking.
- Digital Signature: Ensures the issuer's identity and invoice integrity.
- Unified Coding: Using standard codes for goods and services (GS1 or EGS).
Legal Framework
Unified Tax Procedures Law No. 206 of 2020
Articles 35 and 37 obligate companies and registered taxpayers to issue electronic tax invoices for all sales transactions. The system aims to integrate the informal economy and combat tax evasion.
Penalties: Failure to join the system may result in financial fines, exclusion from the Large Taxpayers Center, and suspension of government dealings.
